Intimate Enemies under the Sun
The sensation of danger alter the terrorists attacks that took place in different parts of the world floods the cathodic screens of the most efficient channels of disinformation by which the percentage of the world population with access to this media is "informed".
Of course that the front page of the tabloids published about what happened in London, but we know little of other atrocious acts that happen in places like Iraq or Afghanistan.
The death of 25,000 civilians in the occupied territories didn't occupy the front pages. The terrorist attacks perpetrated by the Iraqi resistance did.
Although the same acts, perpetrated with equal savagery have different names for the global media, some are "terrorist acts" and others are "collateral damage".
The are no goodies and baddies in this story, just as good and evil don't exist in maximum purity. The enemies, more than enemies seem to be friends that the ways in which things are taking place benefits their respective interests.
And trapped in the middle is great part of humanity who is provoked into interfering in a dispute in which they have everything to loose.
Military conflicts are beneficial for those who hold the most destructive and powerful arsenal, and which today we see how it is executed in different places, not only in this world but in outer space.
A few weeks ago we heard that the destruction of an asteroid for scientific ends "was successful". With those same scientific ends the atomic bomb were created, but know we should ask ourselves if these ends are beneficial for humanity.
We should also ask ourselves if the immense amounts of money that was used to carry out this experiment wouldn't have been more fruitfully used to save an enormous amount of people (who are not in the news) that die of hunger day after day.
But although it seems perverse, the mechanism is logical, we destroy and then we find out what it's about; because as long as it doesn't affect "us" it is not dangerous. This is a short-term rationale which is driving towards the progressive destruction of the place in which we live, be that a developed state, an underdeveloped one, of the north, of the south, Arab, Jewish, from OCEANIA or Africa.
The planet is only one, the earth doesn't know frontiers, and the frontiers are human inventions from the moment in which he wanted to make it his property. From the on, the property of the earth has been concentrating in the hold of a few.
This unmistakable way in which our societies are organised was imposed by the force of the weapons of the five continents, and they limit the way in which we perceive life.
They make us believe through fear and terror that things are only one way and that there is no other way to live that does not entail submitting to that idea.
The linear and progressive way of seeing life, with a beginning and an end contrasts with the idea of circular life, were we are all spring forth from the earth and return to her in order to continue with the unending cycle of life.
In the month of the Pachamama it becomes necessary to return to the source of life that allows us to realise that the weakest and the most powerful are equal in the sense that they travel the same route. He is born, grows, gives fruit, deteriorates, dies and his energy nourishes the earth.
